We have 2½ acres of former farm yard. The rest of the 6 acres site is an old quarry, now grown over and destined to become a nature reserve.

There are decks and seating areas from which to enjoy stunning views over the Cotswolds, and the Windrush valley. There's plenty of parking space for up to 20 cars.

The central courtyard garden is a natural sun-trap and a safe place for children. The open fronted terrace faces south, and the gas fired barbeque makes this a great place to eat outside. In winter the sliding glass doors keep out the wind, and the terrace even has under-floor heating, so it can be used at any time of year.

We are on the National Trust Sherborne Estate, and it's an easy walk to the woods, or down to Sherborne village. There is a charming village shop in Sherborne run by 2 charismatic young women who make delicious food, definitely worth a visit. A rewarding 2 mile walk through the village of Windrush takes you to The Fox Inn at Barrington, by the river; they are open all day, serve great food, and also allow dogs.

Further afield the Cotswolds have plenty to offer; Burford is just over 5 miles away, Bourton on the Water is 6 miles, Cirencester is about 20 minutes, and Cheltenham races about 25 minutes by car. Have a look at our activities pages under ‘Information'
