Trains

The nearest big main line stations are Cheltenham (16 miles), Kemble (16 miles) Oxford (20 miles) and Swindon (20 miles).  The nearest line to Cats Abbey is the (Paddington) – Oxford – Worcester line.

The nearest station is Shipton under Wychwood (8 miles), but trains only stop there every other full moon.
There are no taxi firms close by but this is the closest station if a friend is coming out to fetch you.

We suggest you chose your station to be nearest the taxi you use. Book ahead; they are mostly one man firms.

Ascott under Wychwood (9 miles) has SuperCars of Leafield close by ( 2 ½ Miles). 07711 93770

Kingham (9 miles) has Richard’s Private Hire from Upper Rissington, ( 2 ½ Miles). 07783 775198 and JJT Private Hire also Upper Rissington 07980 032044

Charlbury (12 miles) has several taxi firms, and failing that try Bourton-on-the Water, Stow, or Witney.
