We have 2 ½ acres of former farm yard. The rest of the 6 acres site is an old quarry, now grown over and destined to become a nature reserve. There are decks and seating areas from which to enjoy stunning views over the Cotswolds, and the Windrush valley. There's plenty of parking space for up to 20 cars.

The central courtyard garden and is a natural sun-trap and a safe place for children. The open fronted terrace faces south, and the gas fired barbeque make this a great place to eat outside. In winter the sliding glass doors keep out the wind, and the terrace even has under-floor heating, so it can be used at any time of year.

Improvements for late 2009, are a games room with pool, table tennis and card tables, and a hot tub on the deck, with a magnificent view over the valley.

We are on the National Trust Sherborne Estate, and it's an easy walk to the woods, or down to Sherborne village. A rewarding 2 mile walk through the village of Windrush takes you to The Fox Inn at Barrington, by the river; they are open all day, serve great food, and also allow dogs. They also have a people carrier, so a dash to the driver will get you home.

Further a field the Cotswolds have plenty to offer; Bourton on the Water is just over 5 miles away, and Cheltenham races about 20 minutes by car. Have a look at our activities pages under ‘Information'
